Surat, Gujarat – April 30, 2024:  Waaree Energies, India’s leading manufacturer of solar PV modules, has secured a significant contract with Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL). The agreement involves the supply of 400 MW of advanced bifacial solar modules for a massive 2,375 MW RE Park near Khavda, located in Gujarat’s Great Rann of Kutch region.

    Boosting Renewable Energy in Gujarat

This collaboration marks a major step forward for both companies. Waaree Energies will leverage its expertise to manufacture, test, pack, and transport these high-efficiency solar PV modules, ensuring they meet the prescribed quality standards and are delivered within the project timeline.

High-Performance Modules for Optimal Energy Generation

The supplied modules will boast specifications aligned with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and will range in power output from 540 Wp to 570 Wp. This advanced bifacial technology promises optimal performance, durability, and efficiency in generating clean solar energy.

    Strengthening India’s Renewable Energy Ambitions

The project not only highlights the reliability of Waaree Energies’ solar solutions but also reinforces their commitment to India’s renewable energy goals. The 400 MWp bifacial module procurement, accompanied by essential spares, underscores this dedication.

    Collaboration for a Sustainable Future

Waaree Energies, India’s largest solar PV module manufacturer with a staggering 12 GW of installed capacity (as of June 2023), views this collaboration as a strategic opportunity. They aim to:

    • Strengthen their foothold in the renewable energy sector
    • Promote domestic manufacturing and create employment opportunities
    • Contribute to India’s energy security and environmental sustainability
