In Maharashtra, the vision for robust road infrastructure is rapidly becoming a reality, thanks to the relentless efforts of leading infrastructure player, Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL). With a track record of exceptional experience in road construction, Megha Engineering has recently completed their share of 85 km stretch of the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway as part of the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg project.
But MEIL’s contribution to Maharashtra’s road development doesn’t stop there. Megha Engineering is actively involved in several ongoing projects across the state, including the construction of highways and rural road improvement initiatives.
One such project is the construction of highways recognized as National Highways in Maharashtra, including the Mantha-Partur, Partur-Majalgaon, Kaij-Kusulamb, Karad-Tasgaon, and Satara-Mhaswad roads. These projects entail the construction of both two-lane and four-lane highways, enhancing connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation across the state.
Among Megha Engineering’s noteworthy contributions is the ongoing construction of a 58-km stretch between Mehswad and Themburni, situated 50 km from Pandharpur, a renowned pilgrim center. This project promises to further enhance connectivity and accessibility in the region, catering to both pilgrims and local communities alike.
In rural Maharashtra, MEIL is executing six remarkable road improvement projects, each aimed at transforming the transportation landscape of the region. These projects include:
- Satara to Mhaswad: An 85.68 km stretch on National Highway 548C, connecting Mhaswad to Satara, facilitating smoother travel and enhanced connectivity.
- Mhaswad to Tembhurni: A 58 km two-lane highway connecting the districts of Satara and Solapur, improving accessibility and connectivity between the two regions.
- Karad to Tasgaon: A 58.83 km two-lane highway connecting Karad, Shenoli, Bhavani Nagar, Takari-Palus, Yelavi, and Tasgaon villages, enhancing connectivity and facilitating seamless transportation.
- Kaij-Kusulamb: A 60.72 km two-lane and four-lane highway connecting Beed district and Solapur district, improving connectivity and fostering economic growth in the region.
- Partur to Majalgaon: A 50 km stretch on NH-548C from Partur to Majalgaon, enhancing connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation along the route.
- Mantha to Partur: A 51.26 km stretch connecting Mantha Taluka Border to Barshi National Highway 548C Section-1, improving accessibility and connectivity across the region.
MEIL’s commitment to Maharashtra’s road development extends beyond the state borders, with the company also executing greenfield segments in neighboring states. These projects, including key stretches in Mancherial-Warangal, Warangal-Khammam, and Khammam-Vijayawada sections, aim to significantly reduce travel distances and foster seamless connectivity between Maharashtra, Telangana, and Vijayawada.
As these projects near completion, Maharashtra is poised to witness a transformation in its transportation infrastructure, with MEIL leading the charge towards enhanced connectivity, improved accessibility, and sustainable economic growth.
