Fans eager to see Hugh Jackman sport the classic Wolverine mask in the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie don’t have to wait until the July 27 release. A visual effects artist surprised fans with a video showcasing Wolverine in full costume, and it’s incredibly realistic.
The edited trailer digitally inserts the iconic mask onto Jackman’s face in scenes from the official trailer, giving the character a more comic book-accurate look. VFX artist Taran Singh shared the video on social media.
This edit comes after fans expressed confusion about the lack of the mask in the official trailer, speculating it might be a surprise for the theatrical release.
While the film promises to be packed with comic book references, director Shawn Levy assures audiences they won’t need to be MCU lore experts to enjoy the movie. Levy emphasized that moviegoing should be a fun experience, not homework.
This approach ensures “Deadpool & Wolverine” will be accessible to everyone, even those unfamiliar with past Deadpool movies, the X-Men franchise, or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The third installment in the Deadpool series, “Deadpool & Wolverine” features the return of several characters alongside Wolverine. These characters reportedly include Sabertooth, Elektra, Colossus, Mobius, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Yukio, Pyro, Storm, Azazel, Beast, and Lady Deathstrike. Rumors also suggest surprising cameos, including Taylor Swift as Dazzler.
